I am entering a large amount of information and I am using the pop-up feature (Comment box) to display important information. However the comment box is very sensitive and if you move the mouse off the cell it disappears. Is there a way to lock this box open while the cell is selected?

Yes but I want this to be done with the cell only for a more user friendly experience. Select cell/Comments show/ unselect cell/ comments goes.
Currently you hover over cell and comment shows but disappears if you attempt to scroll the page or move off the cell.

You should use the comment of Data validation, in Data validation -> Tab 2, if you use this instead of the normal comment, as long as the cell is selected the comment stays.

I like this. However it limits the amount of text I can input. I need something that allows more text. This looks like 150 characters
Is there a way to do this without being limited to the amount of text I can insert? I have a lot of text for some of these and I really like the idea of the pop-up as apposed to just clipping the text in the cell
It should be 255 or max 12 lines... If you need more... then VBA is needed (I think).

Yes enabled macros. Cant get anything to work here. Do you have a screenshot of your results. Again Im trying to create a custom text box for the message so I can add and format the text as I need it. Tried copy and paste of the code and followed the steps. just wont work.

Ok. I am able to get you're example to work. This is very close to what I am looking for. The only question now is. How did you get this to work? Id like to be able to create custom Comment boxes like this.

Awesome. This works well I have been able to duplicate the code and use on my own Sheet. My next issue would be how do I make this work with different cells with each cell having different Comment boxes? i.e. D3 (Comment1) /D4 (Comment2) / D3 (Comment3). I have hundreds of different sections that need to be easily referenced from the sheet.
