    Recall of dates

    Hi There,
    I am a novice at Microsoft Excel and am trying to create a spreadsheet that recalls dates for a maintenance schedule.

    i.e. An item needs to be called for on the last day of every week/ month/3/6/12 monthly.

    So for example an item will sit in its cell and will have a frequency (i.e. 3 monthly or weekly) in the next column the next column would have the due date and then the next the remaining days before it expires. I would also like some direction how this would then reset to recall for the next time period.

    Like I've said I'm an absolute novice so any help no matter how small would be very much appreciated.

    Re: Recall of dates

    Attach a sample workbook (not a picture or pasted copy). Make sure there is just enough data to demonstrate your need. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are shown, mock them up manually if necessary.

    Remember to desensitize the data.

    Click on GO ADVANCED and then scroll down to Manage Attachments to open the upload window.

    Hi, Thank you for your response. I have attached a worksheet. I have inputted the data in the way I would like it to work, I have also added a few comments. I hope this helps explain.

    Many thanks!

    Re: Recall of dates

    Are we allowed to split column F into two; a number and a unit of measure in separate columns?

    Hi Glenn, Yes that would be fine as long as the outputs are correct I am open to changes.

    Many thanks.

    Re: Recall of dates

    Great. That makes it MUCH easier!!

    In K3, copied down:
    =IF(G3="Week",B3+F3*7,IF(G3="Month",EDATE(B3,F3),""))

    In L3, copied down:
    =IF(K3="","",K3-TODAY())

    Conditional Formatting:
    Cell Value <=2
