I am constantly getting a white ribbon at the top of my screen saying not responding. It gives a sort of blink and then the ribbon. My worksheets are multi-tab and full of formulas to crunch data.
I am convinced our IT has no idea how to set up the computer to properly run Office 365 Excel.
I am running an Intel Xeon Bronze 3106 CPU at 1.70Hz (2 processors)
64GB RAM
64 bit Op Sys
Solid State Hard Drive
2 TB secondary drive
Sounds like your Formulas are requiring a long time to process the data. After a set period of time, if the system hasn’t responded (because Excel is still calculating) then it gives that “Excel is not responding” notice. You just need to wait until everything is done calculating. (So option 1, have patience)
Alternately, you can investigate creating smarter formulas that calculate faster or getting a faster computer (the second doesn’t sound like an option for you).

substitute commas with semi-colons if your region settings requires
