Please see attached sheet. Staff needs to only complete column D "Cost Centre" but complain list is too long, and so want to either complete number or part of word to bring up options to select from - important that data validation is maintained as this will be used to import data.

Thank you Ali, I did try to follow the link (not allowed to re-post your link..)but it removed the data validation & I wasn't able to bring up a search with part of the word or number. Not sure where I've gone wrong. So have a attached my attempt. Not so familiar with VBA code, so not sure where to start searching for the error. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks
