    want to filter a excel sheeet based on a item in a given column

    Hi, i have a excel sheet containing huge data.
    i could access the filter and then filter a item from the numerous items auto filtered in it.
    it gets long time
    what i want is , select entire worksheet and iwant to filter on a item on a specific column say, a, or b
    expecting tips

    I watched a YouTube video last week that showed how fast the Advanced Filter is compared to other methods. If the Advanced Filter is slow you have some big data. Watch why Advanced Filter is faster at:

    Hi, alansi,
    i have ms excel 2007, which when i opt filter a column data, ie, when i enabled filter and selected entire data sheet, the filter is easy shown as in the figure given in the enclosure. but, when i access the office 365, and open the ond drive to access and edit excel sheet, and when i click, the filter, there was a menu of sort and filter and i have to choose the filter and then select the column and deselect to show the filtered numbers . how to get the filter as in ms excel 2007 is my query

    You don't show an image from O365, but are you opening it in a browser from OneDrive?

    Hi, yes. i will confirm it. But i think that you cannot open excel in the document attachments ittself.
    I will try to include the office 365 image, it is a web app
    office 365 web app.
    my query is , is there a way to show filtered results as in ms ecel 2007 in office 365 excel.
    i havve to click the filter icon and then have to select the Filter from it and then access , the filtered number lilst ticked. but in lower version, when i enabled filter and i get filter arrows, just clilck it , i disselect the select all and choose the one i want easily.
    i aslo do not know, that if office 365 available for individual users
    control shift L just popups the filter
    i have to again click the filter to go into
    my concern is , wwehn lower version is easy to filter, why o365 is not made easy.
    i do not use offlilne outlook because it swallows all the previous mails in the other emails, which are very easy to use like gmail. iin gmail ,you could just clik the attachments to either open and save.
    once i tried andfound that all the yahoo mails messages have been taken by the outlook.
    if there is easy method , please inform

    I'm not quite sure what you are saying, but my guess is that you are looking at an excel file within Onedrive. If you download that file, then open it in Excel, you should see very similar filter options. So I don't think it's particularly a O365 issue, but viewing the file via a browser that's the issue.

    Hi, i could not download from one drive, if that is what you mean
    Moreover , how could i download a file from one drive in office 365 web app, and not office 365
    i do ot know how to do.
    If i select cont all, and copy in my ms excel 2007 worksheet, then it says data could only be partially copied as the source contains huge data. i suppose the excel data base in the cloud server could not copied to the older version.
    I am using the microsoft supported edge browser.
    Hi, Greg, it is office work of my son,
    He could get all sorts of inner details from the work place but not on home.
    the same login .
    Should one have microsoft office 365 package installed to get all freatures.
    i think, that o365 is s server based application and allows all sorts of editing.
    but one could not open excel attachments directly in the outlook of office 365.
    i will try to see myself , if i could access the office 365 as individual , by opening an account.
    please answer to my queries
    if i am able to create a worksheet, then i will post the same
