YTD totals based on Whether or not data has been entered in a column

I am attempting to build a work book that calculates YTD totals based on whether or not a cell has been filled in.
For the example, the entire year's monthly budget would be filled in. The actual expenses would be filled in at month's end when everything is finalized.
For the YTD figure I would like to calculate the budgeted total for only the months that the actual expenses have a value (including 0).
Is this possible? I haven't seen an equation in any of the forums related to this.

Thanks kindly for any help anyone can provide.

    Mike

I am looking for seperat totals year to date for budget, actual and variance. I only want the budget and variance to add in the months that have actual totals.

Try this in cell AL3. Fill down and across column AN

What if I wanted to do the same equation, but not sum when the actual = 0?

    Thanks again!
