'/' Key Is Registering As Alternates in Excel

Hello I am a relatively new Excel user and came across this problem I cannot fix. I was working in an Excel document and each time I pressed the '/' key it registered as if I was pressing the 'alt' key with the hotkeys showing up instead of printing '/' in the cell. How do I turn this off? Thank you in advance!

From the File tab in the ribbon, click on Options in the bottom-left corner. That should display the Excel Options dialog. In that dialog, click on Advanced in the left section. Then scroll all the way down in the right section. Near the bottom there should be a category named Lotus compatibility, and under it a setting named Microsoft Excel menu key. You almost certainly have / there. Delete it, making that entry blank, and click the OK button.

That did the trick! Thank you so much. I have no idea how that could have happened. I appreciate the reply!
