    Shorten FILTER formula

    I am looking to get all matching claims where a patient had a readmission 30 days before or after another admission/discharge. I have a formula, but it seems somewhat long and inefficient. Formula is as follows:

    See attached workbook sample (formula is column I). Is there a better to either shortened it or make it more efficient? Thanks.

    Thanks Fluff. I tried using the plus sign earlier (OR statement), but it wasn't working. Your syntax is slightly different (and working). Thanks again..

    Re: Shorten FILTER formula

    Well, Fluff has worked the magic, but, just for the exercise, to shave off a few more characters:

    Formula: copy to clipboard

    One advantage of this version is there are a few less places to change the last row number (40), and the time span (30).

    That takes the length from 200 => 154 => 143

    Thank TMS, good example. I always wondered what a practical use of the LET function would be.
