    Array using A,B,C's not working

    I am finished with my Sudoku in Excel but came up with the ideal of changing the numbers 1 -9 to A -I and it works perfectly except in one part of my numeric version where I use an Array for each Row to select a number, so while trying to convert the Array from numbers to letters it wouldn't accept one of my Array formulas, so need some help on it. I have attached a working copy with the Array, and you will be looking at Row 3 only. The rest works. Again, thanks for you help.

    Note that you can do the same for the numeric rows. for example:

    TMS, thanks I had to tweak your code a little, work out a new total for G14, you omitted some $ marks but fixed got it to work.

    This was where I left it. I decided to leave your DNR formula alone because it will result it a null list when all letters have been selected, whereas, the option i tried would leave a single empty value.
