Mini Calendar Add-in - Can you designate to a Cell and hide?

    Hi All,

Sorry if this has been asked before. I'm working on a new location template and found this mini calendar and date picker add-in by vertex42 that's free. I would like to use this for an effective date field, but it looks like what ever cell is selected and you click the calendar it will fill the date.

Is there a way to hide the calendar and only fill for a specified cell? Is there any better options out there?

Many thanks for your help and again pardon my ignorance.

    Thanks,
    Cullen

Can't answer it in the abstract. Please provide a link to 1) the template (what is a "location template"?) and 2) the page for vertex42 with the data picker

I would expect that the add-in should just be the control. Did you create a Worksheet_SelectionChange Sub to implement it in your worksheet? If so, the problem lies there.

Here is a homegrown option that I developed. It is VBA so you will have to install the VBA modules in your file. This is a demo.

It is not best one ever made but it is effective and this is also a demo file showing how to use it.

    Hi Cullen,

I've seen a few very old, old and newer calendar controls. Here I one that may allow you to do what you want. If not then keep asking and show us which one you are using, with the code. We might be able to fix/extend what you need.

here is another - double click in columns 'A' & 'B' - you can program where you want it to appear by altering the code in the sheet module.
