I have some questions about the power query feature. I've never used it before, I hope these questions make sense:
1. When using "get data from folder", can the original files be altered/deleted intentionally/accidentally?
2. When using "get data from folder" on a shared drive, will other users experience any slow-down or other issues when accessing the same files?
I have to tidy up and reorganise our file system at work, approximately 1500 files over 200 folders. Most of these files probably aren't used anymore and can be archived.
I want to use power query to pull all of the "date accessed" information so I can start archiving anything that hasn't been accessed in the last 12 months.
As I have limited experience with Excel's basic features, I wanted to get some advice before I start using the more advanced ones.
