Power Pivot Duplicate Tables in Fields

    Hi,
If I load a table into power query and save to data model and then open in power pivot, then add to a pivot table
in the Pivot table fields box I have two tables, is there a way around this I found the same question being asked on MS site
but there wasn't really any solution, just they didn't have the problem.

I've attached the workbook, showing one Table in power pivot, one in excel, source, and two in the pivot table fields.

    Richard.

    where is the problem?
in the Pivot Table Fields you see Table1 and Table11, move cursor on the first (or second) and wait a second then you'll see which table is used by Query and which is used by Data model

from what I can see you don't need Power Query because you didn't do anything there, so you can add the source table directly to the Data Model

Yes, but is there a way to only have one showing, as it gets confusing when there are lots.

if you do nothing in Power Query read above post#2
in any case you see a little yellow sign there which means it's a source table from Power Query so you don't need to touch it

No, I didn't do anything because I just wanted to show an example not because I never have to do anything, yes, I know I can add through pp add to data model,
but that's not the question, the question is how do I add through power query and only have one showing in field options?

Cool Re: Power Pivot Duplicate Tables in Fields

you can hide Table1 (from Power Query) and you'll stay with function(s) only but you cannot hide/remove whole table in Data Model or Pivot Table Fields

I have no more ideas, sorry
