Conditional Formatting

Hi All,

I am aware this may not be possible but hoping the hive mind can assist.

I am trying to have specific cells highlight whenever a code on the left ranging from TW1 through to TW7 is selected. The appropriate cells then need to highlight to remind the employee to do the actions listed above them.

I am able to get the specific cell featuring the text to highlight, but is there a way to have cells I,J & K also highlight? TIA

The file you have attached has no conditional formatting so it is hard to figure out what you are trying to extend to columns I, J, and K.

How does the code from TW1 to TW7 determine the highlighting?

What is the specific cell? As I said, there is no conditional formatting in this file.

The work book is my reference page.

What I am trying to achieve is that when the code

TW1 is selected in G that I, J & K highlight.
TW2 is selected in G that I through to Q highlight

There is no pattern so which cells get which color for which value in column G, so you have to write individual rules for each color, each column, each value that G can have. That is very long, tedious, and difficult to maintain.

I have created a Key table based on what you have provided that makes this all table-driven with one rule for each color.

I have also created sheet Solution for Testing. It populates the cells based on what you select from the dropdown in column G. Please let me know if this is what you had in mind.

To Test:

Open sheet Solution for Testing. Use the dropdown lists in column G to select any value. The values and colors in the table to the right will be automatically updated to match Key.
