MACROS not running

I have a number of macro-enabled spreadsheets that worked fine under previous versions of Excel. I have just installed Office 365 and although the macros run on my computer, they won't run on others. I presume that Microsoft have introduced some new security measures around macros but I urgently need to know how to get around this problem.

What does that mean? What happens? Or doesn't happen? Do the other users get an error message? Or a warning? Or does Excel say the macros in the workbook are not enabled? Have the workbooks been uploaded/downloaded on a network? Or emailed out?
