    Set up Outlook rule to move eMails to respective sub folders

    Is it possible to set up an Outlook rule to do the following:
    I want to create a folder (Time Off) in my inbox for when my employees request time off.
    Then the sub folders would be their names. When someone requests time off, the eMail sent by that employee gets moved to their respective folder.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    that can be done - BUT do they have specific words in the title or in the body

    you can use that to move the file - you would need a rule for each employee

    setup a rule with-
    from a specific sender and with specific words in body
    move to their folder

    Hi Karen,

    Yes, you easily can do this. Looking at your profile, it says that you are using 2007 & 2010 Office Version.

    Anyways try the following steps :

    1.Create Folder (Time Off) under Inbox
    2.Create Sub-Folder with Employees Name
    3.Go to Home-->Move-->Rules-->Manage Rules & Alerts
    4.An Window of Rules & Alerts will get appear
    5.Select E-mail Alerts tab and click-->New Rule
    6.Rules Wizard window will get appear
    7.Select "Move Message with specific words in the subject to a folder"
    11.Click Next and select the below selected fields

    Then add the rule descriptions in Step 2 (Bottom part of the wizard)

    Click Next-->Next-->Next-->Finish Rule Wizard window will appear-->Finish

    Please follow the above steps to make rules as required.
