Daily excel file sent automatically through outlook

We are using a excel file to track work progress for our team, who does what part of the project, and date that it was started. Is there a way to have outlook automatically send this file out to our team daily? (probably as a read only). One person is managing the tracker and will manually update the spreadsheet. I know obviously he can add the excel file in a email and send it manually, but is there a way for outlook to send it automatically?
