I'd like to display slashes in date cell when blank.

    Pretty simple question:

I want to have " / / " (without the quotes) in my cells UNTIL a date is entered, in which case, format as a date would normally 11/8/18 (US format)

Kind of like how you set it to Accounting and it shows the $ sign until something is entered?

Then just set the format of the cell to what format you desire and then pre-load the cell with / /

    Why would that not work?
