    Not able to assess messages

    Hi,

    My inbox shows that I have 1287 messages, but when I go to my inbox there are no where as much messages.

    Also there are only old emails from last week, when there was some from months ago that I hadn't deleted.

    And one last problem, in the unread folder, it says messages are in the inbox but they aren't, they either aren't there or they are in another folder. Has anyone else had this problem and/or knows how to fix it?

    please give me some solutions??

    Hi Lily,

    As i understand you have an e-mail box that has subfolders that have the unread numbers next to them but when you go into the folders themselves, there are no messages unread or read.

    Based on your description, it is possible that there is some corruption in the .pst file or in the profile. Regarding this issue, you can try the following two commands to see if this can clear the issue.

    outlook/cleanpst

    This is to launch Outlook with a clean .pst

    outlook/cleanprofile

    This is to remove and recreates default registry keys.
