Hello,
I've searched high and low and tried to manipulate a few that codes that I have come across and am admitting defeat. Maybe it is not a very highly sought after inquiry. I've discarded the codes that I've come across and am looking for some help on something fresh. This is in regards to outlook 2010 and 2013
Anyways, i'm not a developer / coder / programmer, but i'm able to read (and understand for the most part along with manipulate) what a specific code does.
Why I'm looking to do it:
We have a program that automatically files e-mails into a 3rd party application based off e-mail text that runs outside of outlook. When one of the rules are not met, it moves that e-mail into a sub folder of inbox labled "error" and no further action is taken. I'm not able to modify the code to do anything else since it's out of my department.
What i'm looking to do:
What I want to do is have a rule (not possible) apply to only the "error" folder and no other folder. Is there a way to have a macro run automatically anytime a message is dumped into the "error" folder? Basically just want the macro to run a pre-existing rule (all it does it auto respond to the sender letting them know their message was not filed and to try review the contents of their e-mail for errors and try again).
Any help on this would be appreciated
Thanks,
Mike
