Progress or status bar without making a userform

Is there some way to get feedback to the user while a script is running without creating a userform?

Excel has the status bar but I don't know how to access it in outlook. Not sure you even can.

I can do the userform if I have to but I wanted to keep it clean an tidy in a single module. I don't want much, just something so the user knows that the app didn't crash.

It's moving a bunch of emails which can take some time. Currently I have it beep every 10 emails. It gets annoying after a while.

Any thoughts or help is appreciated.
