Question Changing default email message form

    Hi,

Via the developer tab in outlook I made a custom form with a new button. It works nicely when I try "Run This From". However I can't find online how to make this my default form for my email message. I want to use it as the default form, with the new button, whenever I make a new message.

    Anyone an easy solution?

    Regards,

    Barbet

Re: Changing default email message form

As far as I'm aware, you cannot change the default form used for emails. It's no problem for Contacts, Calendar and the others, but not Emails.

Although... that information may be out of date. In Office 2016, right clicking the folder and selecting 'Properties' gives an option to change the default form, including for Messages.

Time to have a closer look. Be back in 10...

Thanks Cytop for your quick reply. Too bad though. I have looked all over the place for a solution and it looks you are right. I hoped I overlooked possibilities. I had this nice button that once selected would send the email instantly ignoring my delayed send rule. I was looking for a cleaner solution than putting hidden characters in the custom signatures. The problem with hidden characters is that they will remain in the email chain so any other reply on the same chain will be send instantly as well. Then I had a VBA code that assigned categories to messages, but you couldn't see if the categorie was applied or not (or not easily).
