    Post VBA code to search strings in mail subject, body and drop in folders

    Dear Experts,
    Can anyone help me on the following,

    I have 5 to 6 folders in my mail box. The incoming mail to be sorted based on certain strings in the mail subject, mail body and also on a string from the sender email id

    Can anybody help pl.

    You don't need VBA for this. You can set up filter rules in Outlook. You can sort mail to existing folders based on key words in the subject or sender's name or even if it has an attachment.

    I have more than a dozen rules set up and they all work well.
    One spreadsheet to rule them all. One spreadsheet to find them. One spreadsheet to bring them all and at corporate, bind them.

    A picture is worth a thousand words, but a sample spreadsheet is more likely to be worked on.

    Thanks for your reply dflak. I need to search certain words which, if upper case like "WR" should identify and put in a folder. If "wr" lower case is detected, then, it should not perform the action. I would like to know, if the filter rule is specific to the cases (upper, lower)

    I don't know if they are. Set up an experiment: Make a filter rule for an uppercase and another one for a lower case subject and send yourself a couple of emails .

    I'm curious about the results.

    Hello dflak, I had tried this without any success. Hence I thought may a vb code is required to be generated
