Import to Outlook Calander from Excel

I'm assuming this is a question asked many times. I have followed various similar instructions but none of them seem to be able to carry out what I would like.

OK, I have to arrange some appointments on various day's and I would like to invite other attendees. Instead of sending a normal meeting invite to 20 people and having to receive 20 'accept/decline' emails, I would like them to download a file which will automatically sync with their excel and input it into their diary. Also, some of my attendees live in different time zones so can this sync with GMT?

I would really appreciate any help on this as I have been stuck for the last couple of days.

    Thanks

There's an option you can turn off called Request Responses on the Actions menu when you have the scheduling tab selected and invitees added to the meeting. Never tried it but assume that will stop you getting notifications. To me one of the most useful elements of Outlook is being able to track who can/can't attend meetings.
"May the fleas of a thousand camels infest the crotch of the person who screws up your day and may their arms be too short to scratch..."

Use code tags when posting your VBA code:
Your code here
Remember, saying thanks only takes a second or two. Click the little star to give some Rep if you think an answer deserves it.

    Thank you for your reply.

I am aware you can turn off the Request resonses, however, each meeting invite has different subject headings and the meetings are not mandatory - they are optional.

I have read somewhere that I need to create a .hol file - do you know how I can do this and edit to my preferences.

    Thanks

I guess I'm struggling to understand the advantage that you think you'll gain by doing this over using the functionality that is built into Outlook.

    Dom,

I have to arrange 25 different meetings and need to 'invite' over 50 people. This meetings need to be put into their diaries however they are optional so people do not need to attend BUT need to be aware that it is on. I am not bothered about the request reponse as I can turn this off. I dont want to send out several meeting invites clogging up people inbox.

I hope this explains the advantage and I hope you know how to create this.

Easiest way is to probably create the event in your calendar, export is as a vCalendar format and then email it to the people you want. The .Hol file you mentioned controls things like public holidays and whilst it may do what you want I wouldn't be too happy about installing one someone had sent me on my machine.
