    Read offline PST file

    Hi friends,

I have a PST file in my local hard disk and have requirement to read PST file and parse through all folders and then each message item in all folders and then segregate them to different folders based on subject line.

Please kindly send the code for the above requirement.

    Thanks & Regards
    Ramesh

Re: Need code snippet to read offline PST file

Looking at this, you will need specific software as opposed to code.
pst files are outlook specific and opening them in other apps renders meaningless data and strange characters.
One example of a PST reader is
    http://www.mailnavigator.com/reading...pst_files.html

I cannot vouch for it as I have not tried it.

    Good luck

For read pst files you can use some effective and easy to use programs. Which are able restore corrupt mailboxes from all versions of MS Outlook, work under all windows os, they don't modify data after restoring:

    Hi Ramesh

As per to solve your problem, you can try a PST Repair Software, which I used when I faced this kind of issue last days at my personal. I m sure you will definitely get the database transferred in another PST in a readable mode.

    Warm Regards
