update date and day name

Hello
I am looking to paste the day name "dddd" and date "dd/mm/yyyy" in the ppt and keep updating every time the slide opens
I can't do that with insert date and time, because of the format
any idea?

You want to update a specific Text field or header/footer area? Please show what you've tried and paste your Powerpoint file you're working on (or an example of it).

Okay, you can do something like this:

Add a module to the presentation (you'll need to activate the Developer tab)

For my test I have two textboxes on a slide and the code below runs when the presentation is opened.

is there another sub can I use it? like in open file event and activate slide number 1

I haven't tried this as it requires an add-in, this article has steps on creating an onapp start event https://www.experts-exchange.com/art...ibbon-XML.html, you cuold use that to initiate the macro. Powerpoint and VBA are not great friends.
