Web query returned no data into Excel

Dear all, Few month back I would used below link to get data from a web page into Excel . but currently it returned no data into Excel .i am using "windows XP" & MS office application 2007. I will be happy if I get any solution form expert.

Hi Marc L,
Code not required as I was used web Query , I mean “Get External Data” function of excel , something like this:

Data > From Web > in the address bar write http://www.dsebd.org/latest_share_price_scroll_l.php > now press GO > select particular HTML field that I need to feed to excel > press import > finally select Cell (i.e cell A1)> ok

So its coding has changed : this webpage seems now protected.

You could try with a webdriver wrapper like Selenium v2 …

Hi Marc L , I did not get any solution , but I need it very much. It will be helpful for me I able to feed that link into excel . if possible then you show me or have any other alternative solution is appreciated ..

The easier alternative solution is to use a webdriver wrapper like Selenium v2.


Classic but slowest way is to pilot Internet Explorer to grab data …

Try in a new workbook, must paste code to a worksheet module :

Hi Marc L , No dear i don't forget , I have tried multiple time to provide reputation but failed !! while I press the button
“ Add Reputation” it is giving me a message
You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to Marc L again
I think I have given Reputation already on 07-28-2014, 04:41 PM , that is why web server are not allowing me to give reputation once again. Please check the image what I am getting

its ok man , Selenium v2. I am not familiar with this tool , even I don’t know how to implement this for my case , however I am googling to learn this. If I face problem I will let you know ..

Maybe there is a forum devoted to Selenium …

I don't (yet) use it but since this v2 I read good returns.
