continous serial number after filter

I have a list consisting part name, number, date created, date modified, date matured and etc.

I have filters on all the different parameters stated above.

After filtering based on a selected parameter, want to print the list with continuous serial number.

normally serial number column is disturbed after applying filter.

Perhaps use the subtotal function to count only the visible rows to give you a continuous list of numbers?

After u apply filter, Copy that data and paste it in other sheet.

Right now iam doing the same thing.

But as the data in the list changes, I need to do (filter, Copy & paste) it all again.

Feeling it to be a tedious process.

hope there could a better solution.

=SUBTOTAL(3,$B$1:B2)-1
