cells are necessary to equal a specified amount?

For example...total amount is $575.75

10 or 10000 lines:

25.25
50.50
23.65
500
.14
16.54
.46
20
10
50


Here, for example sake, I can easily see which values are required to total 575.75, but I am working with 50000 lines and much larger #s. Does such a formula even exist?

Hi,

There's certainly not a regular function that would help here and I'm not aware that there's any straightforward array function. You'll need to resort to either Solver or VBA

I've always found the VBA code mentioned works very well.
