I have 2 separate years of data. I created 2 separate pie charts and placed them side by side. My boss would like to see one chart that contains both pie charts side by side.
I can't seem to figure out how I do this. Can anyone help?

give this a try...
On a blank Worksheet click on an empty cell
press F11....yes, this creates a blank chart....
Name the Chart IE: My2Charts
go to one of your charts and move the chart....in the lower drop-down you should see the name of the chart you just named....do the same for the other...

Nothing drives me crazy - I'm always close enough to walk....
did this work?
that works, but it also carries over the borders of the 2 separate charts, so that it still looks as if they are 2 separate charts
make sense
Right click and go to Format Chart area
click on Border Color -> click on No Line
do that to both charts and remove the legend on one of the charts....
Success! I removed the lines from the border and it worked fine.
Thank you for your help!
Glad I could help and thanks for the points....
FWIW, I wouldn't recommend a pie chart at all here, precisely because they're not good for comparing two sets of data. I'd use either a clustered bar or 100% stacked, as in the attached. (the clustered would be my preference).
However, I know how bosses are about their pie charts...
