    GETPIVOTDATA Problem (Data Model)

    Hi everyone!

I am used to pulling data from the pivot data with the GETPIVOTDATA formula, and changing the references in the formula, so it would be dynamic, but with the Data Model pivot, the GETPIVOTDATA formula is WAAAAAAY different:

    =GETPIVOTDATA("[Measures].[Distinct Count of Response ID]",$S$7,"[numeric_data].[Job Level]","[numeric_data].[Job Level].&[Consultant]")

The question is, how do I make the "Consultant" to pull data e.g. from cell "C9"? It does not seem to work if I did it like this:

    =GETPIVOTDATA("[Measures].[Distinct Count of Response ID]",$S$7,"[numeric_data].[Job Level]","[numeric_data].[Job Level].&C9")

    Thanks a lot!

    Regards,

    Troi

    Solved the problem!

    Right way:

    =GETPIVOTDATA("[Measures].[Distinct Count of Response ID]",$S$7,"[numeric_data].[Job Level]","[numeric_data].[Job Level].&["&C9&"]")

    Re: GETPIVOTDATA Problem (Data Model)

    Good one, thank you!

But, now I want more - how do I write a "<>" (different from) into the equation?

I can't make the syntax, since I tried my own solution that rendered the right text string but it doesn't work. What is the trick here?

    Greetings from Denmark

You can't use that syntax with GETPIVOTDATA.
