Reading Age Problem when showing some Minus Ages

    Hi,

I have a partial problem with the reading ages of children which I hope someone can rectify.

As per the attached sample data, the rows shown in red (F6-F13) are not calculating correctly.

For example, in B5, the child's age at test is 6 years and 8 months (depicted as 6/8) with a reading age of 6 years and 7 months (depicted as 6/7 in cell D7).

The reading age difference (cell E5) should be showing -0/1 month but shows 0/1 month.

Can any one help to amend the age difference formula to show this without changing any of the other results, which are correct?

    Thanks

Explain why -0/1 is the correct result. Surely their test age is one month greater than their reading age?

If you compare the two solutions you had to the earlier thread, I think you'll find there is a difference.

Re: Reading Age Problem when showing some Minus Ages

    Hi,

    Thanks for your reply.

The child's chronological age at the time of the test is 6/8 but they have a reading age of 6/7 which means that they have a reading age 1 month less than their chronological age at time of the test.

Problem now solved, sorry to repost.

    Regards
