    "Terminated" if marked absent continuously for 5 days

    Hello i have a query

    i have an attendance sheet in which i want Marked as "Terminated" if he is marked absent continuously for 5 days

    Try this in AF2 and copied down.

    Note it is an array formula therefore needs to be confirmed with Ctrl+Shift+Enter.

    try this array formula

    =IF(MAX(FREQUENCY(COLUMN(A2:AE2),IF(A2:AE2<>"A",COLUMN(A2:AE2)))-1)>4,"Terminated","")
    ...confirmed by pressing CTRL+SHIFT+ENTER to activate the array, not just ENTER. You will know the array is active when you see curly braces { } appear around your formula. If you do not CTRL+SHIFT+ENTER you will get an error or a clearly incorrect answer.
