I have a table of data where the values in the row and column arrays that I would be referencing with my index/match formula would repeat. For example, in a table of 8 rows and 12 columns, there could potentially only be 5 unique row values and 3 unique column values. I am wondering if there's a way that I can alter a traditional index/match formula (or any other method) in order to be able to summarize the table based on only the unique values. I've attached an example of what I'm looking for in the below Excel doc. Table A represents the very manual process that I am currently going through by summing individual rows, and Table B represents the failed index match (as it only grabs the first iteration of the row/column value). Table C is hopefully where one of you heroes comes in and saves the day.
Hopefully this was clear enough, but please let me know if I can help clarify something. Thanks in advance.
