    Conditional Formatting

    Hi all, I am trying to set some conditional formatting so that the cell will turn red if it is within 1 year of the adjacent cell.

    For example

    A1 is a issued date so lets say 23/09/19
    A2 is the expiry date so lets say 23/09/20

    I would like A2 to be red all the way up to the expiry date, and on the 24/09/20 revert back to a non colour filled cell.

    Is that possible?

    Many thanks in advance

    Paul

    Re: Conditional Formatting

    The formula for CF would be: =A2<=A1

    Re: Conditional Formatting

    If I am understanding you correctly, you want A2 to be red until today's date is after the expiry date in A2.

    Select cell A2 > Conditional Formatting > New Rule > Use a formula
    =TODAY()<=A2
    Format: Fill red > OK > OK

    Re: Conditional Formatting

    Hi both, thank you for your replies

    What i want to do is have an issued date in A1, lets say todays date as an example. I would then have the expiry date in A2, which is exactly 1 year after the issue date

    A1 = issue date 23/09/19
    A2 = Expiry date 23/09/20

    I want A2 to be coloured until 24/09/20 (so if it is within 1 year of A1, it will be coloured)

    That's exactly what the solution from post #3 does.
