Allow others to Edit, but be able to kick them out.

I made a workbook which a coworker and I both access. We both need to be able to edit it, but she has a bad habit of leaving it open when she leaves for the day (my fault for making such a useful tool!). I don't have this set as a SHARED workbook (too many limitations on the things we have to do with this WB), so how would I be able to close it on her machine if I need to make an edit to it? Is there a way?

Is there one particular sheet on the workbook that she may be working on?
If so, you can write a short macro that will start a timer as soon as the workbook is opened and then keep resetting it as long as there is some activity [i.e. selecting a cell].
If there is no activity for a period of time [you pick how long] then the workbook would automatically save itself and close.

maybe the below as a starter for 10
also consider adding display alerts =false, so it will just close.

I've tried the macro to close before, but on her desktop it failed. I guess I could try it again. is there any other way?
