    hello pejoi,
I think post https://www.excelforum.com/excel-for...ml#post5273235 has the same type of requirement

all formulas used in the sheets are array confirmed with control shift and enter.
The problem in managing the formula is the empty row between the data if details were continuous then I think formulas can be reduced to a larger extent

Re: pull out data from the table by clicking dropdown button

Hello BMV, With all due respect , though the formula is shorter and Kudos to you for the same but overall result I think is important, try adding X in the F8:U26 and check the event result .

moreover in row 34 the result in event tab should be 200 instead of 400, similar error will be produced unless it is properly written.
    Oh
This one should have been checked!

Re: pull out data from the table by clicking dropdown button

You could check the same on information provided !

The first Entry should have been with A201 up to 4 times as X is present in events as 100m, 200m, 400m, 4 X 100 m (not produced)
The second entry again is 4 times which is correct but at this junction now entery for events are 100 m 800 m Lompat Jauh 4x 400 m which should be
    200m 800 m Lompat Jauh and 4 X 400!

Moreover if I add "X" to different locations then again same thing will take place

    check the attached sheet
