Change text on cells with hyperlinks

Hi. I have an bit of an issue. I have an incredibly long spreadsheet, where column C is a list of extremely long hyperlinks. I now need to turn the sheet into a pdf, for printing as well as onscreen use
and want to change the text of column C to "Data Sheet Reference" without losing the hyperlink function. Doing this manually would take weeks if not months. Is there a simple macro or vba script
that can help me wrap this up more quickly?

Any help is much appreciated.

Highlight column C
Go to Find & Replace

For Find What use

For Replace use

Data Sheet Reference

This should change the text but not the links. It worked for me but to be safe don't save the file until you confirm it worked for you.

My thought is to create a macro or use vba to extract the url from Column C into Column D, adding the text I want displayed, then hide column C. I just do not know how to do it.

What do you mean by this? Please show a sample URL that has a "=" in it.

Hi. Thank you for the suggestion. It did work for me. In my extreme lack of sleep mode you typed * and I saw =. Fixed and working!
