    .bas import error

Hi all, I have just finished a macro with the help from people on this forum, and am having an issue sending it to a collegue.

I have exported the macro as a .bas file, I then try an import it into another excel project and get an error shown on the attached jpg.

I have also attached the .bas file.

    Any help would be appreciated.

Hav you tried naming the file with no spaces?

Based on trying to understand the error message, have you tried removing the space in the offset statement here?

    Re: .bas import error

I assume you are referring to (, 1). This space is automatic and cannot be removed.

It appears despite the error message the macro is turning up in the sheet. Would still like to know if the error can be sorted or not, couple of issue to fix regardless after running it in a new sheet.

OK - I'm just guessing by trying to interpret the error message. At least the macro works! Someone else may have first-hand knowledge of this.

    Re: .bas import error

A bit of Googling suggests that any of the following might be to blame:

    - use of a space in a file name or a column name
    - use of a special character in either of the above
    - use of either in the account user name on the machine

I presume you have checked all of these?

    Re: .bas import error

AliGW, the Macro runs perfectly within the document it was created, with no error prompts. I will keep checking for random issues and see what I find. Will do some testing on a new document I have been sent that the macro has been designed for and see what I can achieve :-)

    Thanks for the help :-)
