    H_Lookup split over 3 columns

    Hi All,

I'm looking to do an H_Lookup but every column is split in 3 sub -columns.
So lookup value is a merged (3) cell , I would like to do a separate H_lookup to search for the 3 sub-values.

    Example in attached excel file.

    thanks in advance.

    DON'T MERGE CELLS!

It's a very bad habit, and can complicate many things, so get out of it. Don't put form before function.

    Hi AliGW,

I know merging cells isn't a very good option...
But unfortunately this file requires it, do you have an option to help me out?

    thx

    Please try at H3

    =IF($G3="","",INDEX($R2:$W10,$G3,MATCH($H$1,$R$1:$W$1,)+COLUMNS($H3:H3)-1))
