Problem with Secondary Data from Amadeus

    Dear all,

I am currently working on my master thesis and I faced an issue regarding secondary financial data from Amadeus. If you look at the attachment, you can see that data have been saved in a "tricky" way and thus I cannot copy and paste them to a new table. Is there any easy way to copy only the table (rows 107 - 127 form the attached excel sheet)?

Thanks again and I hope we can find an easy way to manipulate the data!

    Regards,
    Mike

What does your required output look like?
let Source = #table({"Question","Thread", "User"},{{"Answered","Mark Solved", "Add Reputation"}}) in Source

If I give you Power Query (Get & Transform Data) code, and you don't know what to do with it, then CLICK HERE

Re: Problem with Secondary Data from Amadeus

    Dear Olly,

    Thank you for your response.

For the purpose of my thesis, I want to extract this table (showing financial indexes) from around 100 companies. I have downloaded the reports from Amadeus database, but unlikely this table is not placed in the same cells. Thus, I want to extract this kind of information to new sheet (in specific cells) and use an indirect function to group my data (e.g. Revenues 2010-2018 company 1,Revenues 2010-2018 company 2, Revenues 2010-2018 company 3 etc.). Unfortunately, If I click on the specified area and copy the table, It cannot be pasted properly.

So, basically my intention is to copy and paste this table to a new sheet without any empty cells.

Once again, please SHOW what your required output looks like. Forget about indirect functions - show us what you want to end up with.

Re: Problem with Secondary Data from Amadeus

    Hello Oly,

    Thanks for getting back!

Please check the attachments with the required output. Forgive me if I cannot explain it correctly, but my main intention is to transfer the data to a new sheet into specific cells and analyse them. Check another company where I have done everything manually (Copy data to a new sheet/ delete empty rows and columns/ group them appropriately etc.).

    Thanks again!

    Mike
