Roster Pay with 4 Different Wages Based on time period

    Hey guys,
New poster to the thread just wondering how would I create and excel like time sheet to automatically work out my pay for each day as ive tried doing it all mannually before but has become time consuming and been racking my brain on how to create like a excel which takes in data and gives me pay rate just based on that its given just the start and end time of shift and spits out a wage for that day.

So attatched below is Roster pay which contains the pay rate of each time interval and second attachement is an excel ive seen on this forum that is something what im after if possible.

    Many thanks on any help

Re: Roster Pay with 4 Different Wages Based on time period

    Hi, welcome to the forum.
Don't know if I have the answer yet but a question
the Start and End Shift columns, can it be that the shifts cross the different pay rates?
What I mean is can a person start let's say 1t 15:00 and end his shift at 21:00? That would mean that part of the shift is paid 23.69 until 17:59 and the rest is 29.61?

Maybe this will at least get something started. I changed the spreadsheet up a bit, but it basically looks at the start/end times and gets the differences and multiplies by the rate (I'm assuming that's per hour). As you enter the start/end times, you'll see the calculations appear. Please take a look at the attached. Hopefully I'm understanding somewhat what you're looking for.

Yep this is what I was looking, just thought of another addition to the spreadsheet for unpaid breaks is there any way to implent like a break deduction so like i were to just add 30mins break in one column and it would take it off from a time period I were to choose from.

So with a bit of moving around with the help you guys have given me this is what I have got so far as a spreadsheet one last piece is probably i would say the breaks is there a formula that can determine if over 5hrs of work apply 30min unpaid break and deduct off the first 5hours of work pay section if that makes any sense.
