Conditional format a data point in line chart

hihi. is it possible to format a data point in a line chart in excel?
for example if i place an X next to data in Column B of the data range A1:C4 the chart is plotting, then the data point is red.

Ie

Apples 3
Bananas 4 X
kiwis 6
plums 8 X


ie The data points in the line chart will be red for bananas and plums

I'd do it with two data ranges, turn the line off for te second data range, leave the marker points on for the second range and have it only populate the second range if there is an "X" next to the first data range.
