PowerPoint Macro Disabled

Hi All, I've created a macro which automatically exports my PowerPoint as a PDF with a certain name but to use it at work, I have to import the module every time I want to use the macro which makes it pretty much pointless. I'm assuming it's something to do with blocked settings given that if I save the PP as macro-enabled, I'm unable to even run it and so is there any way for me to run such a macro from my personal library or something? Just so that if I add it to the toolbar, I'll be able to to use it on all my PPs going forward.

In Excel the PERSONAL.xlsb file is always loaded, and in Word Normal.dotm is always loaded. Unlike Excel and Word, PowerPoint does not have a standard macro library/file that is always available, and doesn't have a startup folder where files are automatically loaded.

One way to do this is to take your macro-enabled file and create an add-in, and then install the add-in. (This works only for your machine; if you are trying to distribute files to other users than depend on macros it gets more complicated.)

I'm not following what you are saying about blocked settings. Some company filters won't let you download email attachments with macros, but I am not aware of blocking them from running at all. Maybe you need to check the security setting in PowerPoint to allow macros.

I'd check with your IT. In certain cases, company policy will disable use of macro unless supported by digital signature (through GPO or other means).

If that's the case, you'll need to look in your Office installation folder for "SELFCERT.EXE". Exact location will depend on your version etc.

Run it. Follow screen to create certificate. This will allow you to use Tools -> Digital Signature to assign certificate in VBE and will allow your code to run after save.

But, I can't be sure if this is the case. As I never had to use this myself. Only helped others to implement this.
