Match Function

    Match Function

    Hi all,

    What i want to do in C2 is have the right State put in from O2:P18 from data that is in D2.
    Example: D2 has Warr in the cell, so in C2 i want it to put VIC in the cell and so forth.

    Hope someone can help

    Hi protonLeah thanks for the reply, everything works fine except for the words that have 5 or 6 letters, how would i fix that?

    To be fair to Ben there are no examples in your sample with anything other than 4 characters

    Here's a mod to Ben's formula that may do what you are looking for:

    What if:
    * Keyword can be anywhere in Master string?
    * Keyword is partial in another string? i.e, "Warr" vs "Warrio"
