Question adding up formula that doesn't exceed a set total

    HI
I need help with a formula

I have a column of numbers that I need adding up, but I want to limit the total that the answer can give to 10,000

    i.e.
The column of numbers would add up as normal, but when the total exceeds 10,000 the answer given stays at 10,000
    1000+2000+4000+4000+2000= 10,000

    thanks
    Mark

    hi
I just realised that I put hundreds in my example sum above, have changed this to thousands. have now corrected, will your sum still work?

Does not matter. MIN gives you actual sum or 10.000 if sum exceeds 10.000.
