    Formula Help

    Hey all,

I'm in need of help. I'm creating a database that will have around 20,000+ cells with times in them. I'm looking to make a easier way around entering said times manually. I've created a separate sheet to enter the multiple criteria to look for and once I've entered the time into that I want it to filter into the appropriate cell if that makes sense. Please see attached screenshots. However what I want is for when I change the criteria the value doesn't then get removed.

On Capture 3 this is the formula I have

    Hi nflkeeper,
Formulas either work or they don't. You will either need to use macros to accomplish this or you will need to copy/paste values on the cell you do not want to change after it has been filled out.

    Re: Formula Help

Why not turn the task on its head and instead of trying to fill an existing cell with stuff from an entry form, why not have a macro that simply adds the entry form details as a new record in your database.

Incidentally you describe it a a database but it's not quite what most of regard as a database. A 'proper' database has fields (column labels) for unique 'types' of thing, not unique values for similar things.e.g. in your case a database table that has columns for

    Date (probably)
    Race
    Track
    Weather
    Terrain
    Car
    Time

The order of the columns is less important.
