Lightbulb Automatic workbook protection to the right level

    Hello,

I have to protect my workbook to prevent users from modifying my workbook cells with formulas in them. However, there are other cells that need to be edited and filled with text.

To do spell check on those cells with text, the whole sheet needs to be unlocked and so I have created a spell check macro, that unlocks the sheet, does the cell spell checks and then re-protects it afterwards.

However, when the macro re-protects my worksheet, it doesn't protect it with the same level of protection as before (where everything apart from delete columns was allowed), but only that you can click on locked and unlocked cells.

Has anyone experienced this before? Can anyone please help as to to how I can have a macro that protects my sheet automatically with the same level of protection as before it was unprotected?

    Thank you!

You're going to need to share the code and, ideally, a sample workbook.
