Hi!
This sohuld be an easy thing that I feel like I have done many times, but I am drawing a blank and hoping I can get help here (like many times before! )
Since the issue is, from what I think, easy Ill start by explaning it, if anyone needs an example file I'll fix one but I think its simple enough!
A1: John B1: 5
A2: Sarah B2: 1
A3: Tom B3: 14
A4: John B4: 23
A5: Tom B5: 13
A6: Sarah B6: 76
I want E1 to show The combined value from B from John.
I want E2 to show the combined value from B from Sarah
I want E3 to show the combined value from B from Tom
So basically I want D1 to show the name John only once, but E1 the value from all entries (in this case, 28) and the same for the other names.
I tried using the Consolidate function but I dont know if the format is off or what is causing issues but I am getting the names to combine properly, but the numbers next to them just dont show up at all so I am hoping for a formula that can grab this for me.
As stated, if you want an example file I will throw one together, Got a meeting in a few minutes so wanted to throw this question out there before heading into the meeting!
Thank you in advance!
