change from one excel worksheet to another by double clicking in cell

I have an excel worksheet which I update data in every week. My employees have an identical excel worksheet which copies the data from my worksheet for their information. Their worksheet is protected so they cannot change the data or the structure, but if they double click in a cell they will be sent to my worksheet where they can change the parent document. They do not have to change anything, it is for information only. How are they being sent to my document anyway?

In there document, there is apparently a double click event code that will open your document to allow a change to be made. At least, that is how I think it should be coded.

So How do i change that? I don't want them in my parent document especially when they can make changes.

You can password protect your document.

Do you want a link to another worksheet or work book?

How about a hyperlink? Please see attached. It is not a "double click" but like a web link.

If it is a workbook, you should still be able to insert a hyper link by going through the "Insert Tab" and "Links" group.

You then lock out all cells except for the cell with the link in it.

    Disregard my previous post.

I completely misunderstood what you were trying to do and I was eager to try to help someone.
