    Excel Formula for Time Difference

I'm trying to subtract the time between two dates but keep getting different #VALUE! errors.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

Please upload the workbook so that we can see the request in context. It's not easy to determine your layout from the post.

Re: Excel Formula for Time Difference

    HI,

Your dates are a complete mixture, First of all they're all strings of text not proper date numbers. Moreover the strings are not consistently formatted which makes string slicing functions in order to create a date number more difficult. For instance sometimes the year is 2 digits and sometime 4. Sometimes there is a PM with the time and sometimes not.

Are you able to get consistent date/time numbers since that makes the solution so much easier?
